Key Skills Required : Experience in General Accounting and Cost Accounting in the production/manufacturing/industrial catering industry (i.e. UAE).
Must have a strong Cost Accounting Systems background with sound understanding of accounting principles.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
Ability to use Outlook and MS Office (Word & PP) with advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques.
Proficiency in ERP software.
Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in MS power point.
Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions
Multi-Tasking – Must be able to work on several projects at once, which requires multi-tasking abilities
Description
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine the costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and other overheads.
Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
Provide the management with periodic reports analyzing the actual manufacturing costs and comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Thereafter, recommend costs and cost savings
Provide the management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services
Recommending changes/improvements to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors
Present cost estimates and budgets for new purchases and expenditures.
Set standard costs for all products and direct the implementation of cost accounting methods and activities
Oversee the cost control system and prepare cost accounting reports for presentation to the management
Performing physical inventory inspections and monitoring inventory through ERP system
Monitored the cost of labor, including expenses such as overtime and benefits, in order to maintain budget.
Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets.
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
